Highlights: Mount St. Helens Visitor Center, earthquake-triggered ash plume
Journal: "A magnitude 3.5 earthquake at 3:13 pm Saturday afternoon shook loose the top of the highest of the new lava spines [on Mount St. Helens]. The small collapse and avalanche of dome rock generated a short-lived ash plume that rose approximately 2000 feet over the west crater rim and rapidly dissipated." (source: USGS)
