Highlights: much warmer but rainy with strong headwinds & poor visibility at times, eventually decided not to ride, went to library & laundromat, mailed 5 pounds of extra stuff home

Journal: After several weeks of unseasonably nice riding conditions, the typically bad Northwest weather has finally caught up to me. A winter storm front moved in yesterday, causing the winds to pick up (20 to 30 mph today) and shift from the north (good) to the southwest (bad). In addition, the rain has been quite heavy at times, prompting me to call off today's ride toward the California border. Unfortunately, the conditions are not expected to improve much over the next 4 or 5 days.
